Matt graduated from Archmere Academy in 2008 and The University of Delaware in 2012 with a B.S. in Finance and Operations Management and two minors, Entrepreneurial Studies and International Business. Matt worked in a few small businesses during his time at UD – including a restaurant and his father’s solid waste company. After graduating, Matt accepted a position with a local bank supporting their commercial clients back office payment systems. Entrepreneurship has been instilled in him from both his parents and after discovering there was an opportunity to provide our local healthcare, lab, dental, etc. facilities a more responsive and cost efficient option for biohazard waste services, he started Choice MedWaste. Matt prides himself on always being available to his clients and ensuring their team delivers a professional, responsive, safe and cost-efficient solution for their clients. In his spare time, you can find Matt fishing at the Delaware beaches, spending time with his family and friends and trying all the new restaurants in the area.

Ryan graduated from Archmere Academy in 2013 and The University of Delaware in 2017 with a B.S. in Operations Management and minored in International Business. After graduating, Ryan lived in Tampa, FL assisting commercial clients with safe fire prevention services. Upon moving back to Delaware, he helped manage a local car wash where he learned additional service, mechanical, financial and management skills. After time being spent in the car wash industry, Ryan managed a local property management company learning the crucial details of running an entire small business operation. He decided to investigate a new opportunity and connected with his brother, Matt, on the safe transportation of hazardous waste for current Choice MedWaste and future clients. He has spent over 6 months training, networking, and learning the industry and the team at CMW is happy to now be able to provide another solution for their clients. In his spare time you will find Ryan crabbing at the Delaware beaches, making custom cocktails for friends and family and playing soccer.

Bruce attended The University of Delaware for his Bachelor and MBA degrees. His first job out of college was with Johnson and Johnson in New Jersey and then he returned to Delaware to work for Harvey and Harvey, the area’s largest family-owned waste hauling company. There he honed his skills in operations and personnel management. He then partnered with Alan Burkhard and started Independent Disposal Services. This company grew to service over 65,000 customers a week in 12 years. Bruce sold the company in 2010 and continued his entrepreneurial pursuits which include restaurants, real estate, transfer stations, property management, and car washes in Delaware. After over two years of research into the medical waste hauling business Bruce has partnered with his son, Matt, to start Choice MedWaste. During their first two years of research, they travelled across the country to visit local medical waste transporters, disposal facilities and vendors to learn as much as possible. Their business continues to grow month over month since 2015 through the same customer focused business philosophy Bruce has implemented in all his successful companies. Bruce likes to spend his free time with his wife, Diane, and his two boys, Matt and Ryan, at the Delaware beaches, reading a good fiction mystery novel and enjoying a nice glass of wine.
